Default Har Ki Pauri

means the "footstep of God". Is supposed to be at the precise point where ganges leaves the mountain and enters the plains. It is beleived that the footstep of Lord Vishnu is endorsed in a stone here and a dip into the Ganges will wash away the sins of the believer and secures Moksha. Non-hindus were once forbidden to step on the ghats, but due to new spirit forein believers can now join the worship of Holy ganges
