It is indeed the most beautiful and the most passionate structure built by a man for his love. No doubt that it was able to ignite those passions in the hearts of the Indians to make it to the Top Seven list.

Default Taj mahal

n 1631 Shah Jahan, emperor during the Mughal's period of greatest prosperity, was griefstricken when his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal, died during the birth of their daughter , their fourteenth child. Contemporary court chronicles concerning Shah Jahan's grief form the basis of the love story traditionally held as the inspiration for the Taj Mahal. Construction of the Taj Mahal was begun soon after Mumtaz's death. The principal mausoleum was completed in 1648, and the surrounding buildings and garden were finished five years later.

I stand by you dude. It would have been a shame to our tradition. We people are culturally rich and it is one of the great structures which speaks volumes about it. So kudos to all Indians who have voted for it. Special thanks for you to have voted atleast 25 of each day.

Taj mahal is the most romantic place on earth. A gift from one heart to another. Thats the best thing a man could give to his love of life. Pity that it is not being well taken care of.
