Divisions

After independence in 1947, assam is divided into new states like nagaland, meghalaya, mizoram and later on arunachal pradesh in 1962 after war with china.

I never knew Assam was so big and divided later. I thought they were seven states in the north east right since the start. I would loike to know more.

I really hate these divisions of state. Like if you look you would notice that a lot big state have much more harmony as compared to other smaller states and also biggers states have much more earning opportunities as compared to small states.
