Default Industry

Assam has very few industries. Mainly their are large tea factories and the other one are the petrolium refineries situated their.

In a place which is surrounded by hills and mountains and lush forest, not much industries can be started. But they do have some mines which do good business for them.

Thank God they are not thinking of deforestation. Thats something our country is still lagging behind dosent think twice while engaging in such activities.

Tea is the main industry in Assam and it is widely produced here in Assam. It is then transported to all other parts of India.

Here there is terrace cultivation,so rice is grown. Apart from this tea is grown abundantly.

Cutting of trees was banned in Assam and the other 6 states of this region some 10 years back. Since then all of the wood cutting saw mills have shifted into Gujarat in the Gandhiham-Kandla complex.

This could have a very much negative effect on this region. I think they should allow cutting in some place and should also look for ward for agroforestry which would be the best second option for this kind of state.
