Default History

Bihar is known as magadh in the ancient times and its capital patna is known as pataliputra. Ashoka was the important ruler of this place.

Yes. i have read in my history book. The great king Ashoka ruled here. And who can forget him who was the main reason who spreaded buddhism here in India and also to much other countries.

He was a true religious minded person. He also sent his two children aboy and a girl to the far east so that they can spread buddhism there.

Inspite of the rich history of the state, the state is today in doldrums. It seems so unbelievable that this could happen to such great states of yester times.

This is a part of the nature that which goes up must come down and this is the same thing which has happened with bihar. They were at top at some time but now the are one of the most ignored states in india.
