We would like to know a rough price to negotiate for cabs to anywhere around the city centre. Would anyone know of a fare we could negotiate with taxis that would get us anywhere around the city centre? Thanks! |

You do not need to panic just ask them to show you a rate card or purchase one when in Delhi. They are cheap and helpful. |

I don't think that they are cheap. I had been with one of Taxies and they made me a bill of 2600 INR in just 2 days. I don't think that is a wise option to have. |

I took a Taxi from Delhi Taxi Stand and they also made me a bill of 970 rupees in just 9 hours. i think it is really a expensive option. i would preffer Metro for place around it and if possible walk to the place. |

oh my god ... the bills seem to be high !!! ![]() but when i made a tour of delhi .. i found that the rates were very reasonable for journeys by autos... they charged me 20 rs maybe for a 4.5 km ride... which was comparatively cheap when compared with rates iin tamil nadu and my family was all praise for the delhi local transport ppl... ![]() |

Friend you had been looted if you hired a local taxi for this time. A taxi like Indica costs around 4 to 5 / km which is most commonly used and that should also not make this much bill. I think if you have driven some 600 km then you would have this much amount of bill. |

If you are for some long visit then i would not recommend you to take those local taxis. it would be nice if you take some private taxi which are offered at many taxi stand and use them as they charge 4 rupee per km for a taxi like indica which is also very good. |
