Amritsar is the holycity As Amritsar derives its name from Amŗit-sarovar literally meaning "The Pool of mritsar derives its name from Amŗit-sarovar literally meaning "The Pool of the Nectar of Immortality".

You are right about Amritsar. Though it isnot a very popular tourist destination the place is holy and one visit here helps one introspect about life.

Yes, you are right. Amritsar is the holy city of the Punjab. Harmander Sahib- Golden Temple is one of the holiest places of Sikhs. Amritsar also have the historical significance too.
