Does Indian movies means just bollywood?

does indian movies means just bollywood ? Or does that mean something more to the world ? I would like to your views.

Indian movies don't mean that they are only bollywood. There are movies made in India in 19 languages. And in about 10 of them they don't break into songs and are sensible movies.

Quite rightly said. The movies ahve different linguistic modes. But the Bollywood or the Hindi cinema has caught the imagination of the world due to the volume and scale of the work.

Well there are very few movies which are acceptable worldwide otherwise majority of the movies are just for india. Notthing more then that,.

The main problems Indian movie makers have is that they copy scenes from Hollywood movies and never try to do something original. All the orginal movies in majority have made a good amount of popularity.

It would take them a lot of get to make original movies and in my opinion their are lot of less directors who are willing to make original movies and more and more like to make copied movies and in my opinion till original stories do not come into India cinema bolywood would remain only for Bollywood.

No, Vikrant Bollywood does not refer to the entire Indian movie world. We can say that Bollywood is only a small part of the Indian movies coz there are also good quality regional movie industries in India.

Bishal is right. Bollywood gets all media backing and spotlight on it. So we thought that Bollywood means Indian movies but it's not the reality. It is the major movie industry but not the entire Indian movie industry under any circumstances.
