Can Indians make real stories.

I was thinking that most of the movies which had been successful are copied from Hollywood movies and had been modified to fit the indian cinema. What do you think can india movie makers really make something which is really good and which can be a success.

Well this is something which i think is really impossible. As creating something new needs new ideas and I think our India cinema is short of this thing.

I don't agree to this that most of the movies are remake or copied only. The love stories from the Yash Raj stable are all original. Others like Barjatya, J P Dutta, Sanjay Bhansali etc give blockbusters with oringal scripts.

Yup, first poster is correct . Indians hate to think about new ideas and plots, lacks creativity level and tend to concentrate more on copying from foreign movies. . They need to alter this methodology asap.

Bishal please don't tell that way. Indians can have great ideas and plot better than anyone in the world. Only there are very lazy. That's there main problem. Nevertheless, we have also seen many films based on original stories.

There is only one good director which i know that makes good and real movies and he is "Curren " who has made several great movies such as kabhi Kushi kabhi gham and Kal ho na ho. I love these movies and i think that these would be my all time favourite movies.

Well I read another thread in which it was mentioned that Britney spears would be performing in the Indian cinema and if this would really happen in reality then i am sure that we would see a real story movies which hopefully would not be coped from any other movie.

There are lot of cope cats in out Bollywood right now but if you see a little more inside you would also see a lot of good original writers who are very much good with their writing skills but the main problem is that they are not being recognized at the moment.

it is not that they can't make original stories but the main point is that most of them have became copy cat and this is the reason they are not making original movies.
