Default cheapest market?

i heard that we get electronics the cheapest in kolkata... is it really so? what kinda bargain can we expect ? also are the goods genuine... i ll place a big order in kolkata because i know i'll lose only little for transport ... but befor that i need to confirm. i'm talking about computer peripherals, mobiles , electronics ... guys, ppl from kolkata... do help

Not only electronis but everything from vegetables to what not... kolkata is the cheapest. There is a place called Mehta Building which is famous for the cheapest electrnic goods all over India.

When i would be coming to Calcutta this December i am surely going to visit this place. Just one thing more are Digital cameras available here. I mean original ones with warranty.

You can get cheap goods all over the city. Despite being a metro, it is a great mix of the rich and poor. Since it borders close to the north east, Bangladesh and Nepal, there is a constant inflow of various items at moderate rates from these parts.
