Crime in Mumbai

I have heard that there is a high rate of crime in Mumbai and people there live under the pressure of underworld Dons. Is this true that majority of the business people there give some part of there income to these dons.

The main reason for the increasing crime rate in mumbai is population and poverty and when they do not get sufficient money to fulfill their needs and desires.
Most of the youngsters get involved in wrong deeds which inturn increases the crime

A lot of the news regarding the underworld is based upon speculations made by the media. The presence of the underworld is felt in all parts of the world, and not Mumbai alone.

Yeah,there is a lot of crime helding in Mumbai because of police intelligence in Mumbai city these days is very weak and poor.The whole intelligence set-up in Mumbai as well as across other parts of the country is run by ineffective and inefficient officers..So in the presence of these kind of activities how can we prevent from the crime..and also a large range of crimes are helding in Mumbai due to population and lack of earning fields..so most of the people goes for crime to earn money and to survive in that big city..

Crime is bound to benoticeable because there are many people residing in the city who are fromother parts of the country and find it difficult to survive and hence resort to illegal practices.

I do not think that they are efficient in any way. i have seen a lot of false encounter in this place and more over there is presence of Gangsters who have divided there areas and have made people life a real difficult one.
