Basically India is a deversified country with many religions and caste. So as Tamil Nadu. It has got various kinds of people living here. People can enjoy to the core during the festival days. They have got many good reasons to celebrate it.The best part is that they get a lot of holidays by the name of festivals.

Festivals like pongal and the following four days will be awesome. Tamil nadu has got its own new year on April 14th of every year. They also celebrate raksha bandhan, holi etc in the same way as north indians. The Durga festivals are celebrated with different names here.
