Default boundary

This state has got many coastal areas which is awesome. So most of the people of Tamilnadu get access to the beach. Many ports are available here. The other sides are covered by Karnataka, kerala, Andhra pradesh.

You are right. Most of the people get their easy access to the beach. Thats why many ports are present here. This is one of the reason for heavy trading involved here.

But due to long turning radius of ships which have to reach Tn after travelling all across Sri Lanka it increases cost of transportation. Also Adams strait is not traversable via ships so overall ports of this area are not well developed as compared to those in Arabian Sea.

good point piyush.... great research and reasoning... true thats why our ports are not as famous as the cochin and trivandrum posts and bombay i guess...
