UP is a very unsafe place if you are visiting anyplace all alone. It is highly reccomended to visit a place with some group. It is very common in remote areas that people kill passengers who are alone to get their belongings. Even they disguise as policemen and commit roberies.

Yes this is a true fact about UP. UP is a place where even Police cant even do much as the criminal have more power as compared to Police here.

These criminals have power because the work for politicians and if you see with the change in government their are lot of encounters and murders and this is because with the change of government those who had been earlier in power are forced down by the new government workers who themselves are criminals.
